The Centre for Irish Language receives enquiries on a daily basis about the availability of TEG-based Irish language courses throughout Ireland and abroad and we aim to keep our database of course providers as precise and up-to-date as possible.

If you or your organization provide Irish courses that are based on the TEG syllabuses, please email the following information to teanga@nuim.ie:

    • Name of teacher/organization
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
    • Website details

Those details will be added to our list of course providers on the TEG website and learners in your area will be able to access your contact details directly.

Teachers of Irish at any level can use the TEG system to provide Irish language classes for adult learners.  Here are some of the benefits of TEG for teachers and teaching centres:

    • TEG exams are a proven motivator for Irish language learners
    • TEG is a flexible step-by-step Irish language learning programme
    • Syllabuses and materials are designed especially for the adult learner
    • All language skills are developed: reading, writing, listening and speaking
    • Candidates can take the oral exam only for partial certification
    • Comprehensive, high quality teaching materials are available free of charge on the website
    • TEG-based courses and exam centres are available throughout Ireland and internationally with centres in the US, Czech Republic, France and Canada.
    • TEG has been awarded both the European Language Label and the ALTE Q-Mark (Association of Language Testers in Europe) in recognition of excellence in language teaching and testing
    • TEG provides educational and professional opportunities
    • TEG qualifications are recognized by employers worldwide as they are the only Irish language exams linked to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

We look forward to hearing from you!
